They great debate — CE Or Non CE classes

For so many Massage therapist the biggest question is what classes should I take. Which is a great question to ask however the big question is why are you taking the class you picked. Is it just for the “hours”  your state requires(CE) or is it for the greater good of your client (NON-CE). I believe and I do this is I pick classes that will help my clients to help themselves to move better to feel better and to breathe better one step one breathe at a time.  Some are CE and Most are Non CE. I read a lot on social media about massage therapists  only taking class because they ” need” the hours and they take silly classes classes that have no impact on their clients lives. It may benefit the bottom line for the therapist but not for the client. I know that the things we do ( soft Tissue) as Massage therapist work along with the CNS ( central nervous system) thus creating relaxation however  if the client is not able to help themselves to move better ( Motion is Lotion) or to feel better or to breathe better we have done a disservice to our cliental.  One thing I hear this a lot from LMT’s who call the school asking about up coming classes (which we host and post on our website) and they hear that it is NON CE they just get real pissy about it because ” why should I take this classes when I get no credit for it”  I just say because it will help your client to help themselves then they just hang up .. How sad how very sad.

As Always it is your choice … I chose to learn what I can do to assist my clients to help themselves to Move better to feel better and to breathe better one step one breath at a time..  what do you do ? Let me know
